Garden Party

Today I had a great experience collecting garden specimens with the Grapevine Garden Club.
We located and dug up plants, potted and labeled them for sale at the club’s fundraiser in May.
Now we will “babysit” the growing plants in their pots until sale time.
I came home and potted up a flat of baby Coriopsis to donate.

Ants are my least favorite menace to lighting. This fixture is full of FIRE ANTS and the dirt they mounded into it. BLAH!!

Yes, I got them out of there. Please use Andro Fire Ant killer if you see anything like this.

I’m starting to work on an Asian inspired garden. The Buddha has arrived and I have moved a few cool weather plants in.

My thoughts for the day…

Today I’m thinking about how lucky I am in my business. I’m grateful to my clients who call me out of the blue just to say, “thanks”! I got one of those calls today, and it made me feel really great. I appreciate you, too.

Here’s my garden design and installation. I did all the work myself! This is designed for little children, age 3 and 4 to enjoy. The forward areas will be planted with the children’s flower plants that they will bring to school! I’m pretty proud of this.
