Texas Spiny Lizard

It’s not exactly baking on a warm rock but it’s close enough! This Spiny Lizard is pretty happy laying in the warm light cast by this lovely outdoor light installed by us at a location in Southlake, TX!

Don’t we look great!

LED – a beautiful light

0

This is a sample of the light output form a new Kichler LED fixture. It’s so similar to what we currently use for a 20 watt lamp it’s unbelievable. Using 75% less power, this light has beautifully diffused edges with no indication of the center hot spot we sometimes see with lesser quality halogen MR lamps. We’ll put this into test at our showroom and let you know how it does. So far I like the warm color, the even distribution of light and the compact size of the fixture. I must say I don’t care for the tiny screws that attach the front hood, which is sold as an accessory.

Sit back and have a cool drink. Ahhh. It’s a great night.

Instead of grabbing a flash light to cross the yard or flicking on those blinding floodlights, you may want to install some path lights, lovely subtle downlighting, or step lights to ensure safe passage. Anytime there is a change in elevation, the area should be illuminated for safety
